This black Saab 99 Turbo has recently been brought out of long-term storage, and is being sold as an appealing project for restoration or recommissioning. The excellent interior has just been valeted, and the odometer shows 78,288 miles. It was first registered on 1st June 1981.
In the vendor's words, “the underneath and floors are surprisingly rust free, as are all of the normal areas that rust around the screen etc. Bridge Classic Cars have had the engine running from a separate fuel supply. It has good oil pressure but the petrol tank needs cleaning and the fuel lines need flushing out prior to any long-term use. The injectors were cleaned prior to it being started. The brakes will also need looking at, and the car will need a full service." There is no fuel sender in the tank, so the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine will not currently run without a separate fuel supply.
The car is supplied with a Haynes manual, and its latest V5C which indicates 6 former keepers. The latest change of ownership was in 2021.
